WWAY now a drop-off location for hurricane relief supplies

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — WWAY is helping support flood-ravaged communities in Western North Carolina by becoming an official drop-off location for hurricane relief supplies. WWAY has partnered with Wilmington Response, a local non-profit, to help bring much-needed assistance to the towns affected by massive flooding.
How You Can Help
Residents can drop off essential supplies listed below at the WWAY station located at 1224 Magnolia Village Way.
Wilmington Response, an organization that has been active in disaster relief since Hurricane Katrina, is organizing supplies and manpower to deliver aid directly to affected communities. One group, made up of medical professionals and FEMA trained volunteers, left Thursday to deliver supplies.
Donations will be accepted at WWAY’s office Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm.
